I am not familar with the Miami airport.
Can anyone tell me if it is large or difficult to switch planes there with only 35 minutes in between time?

My return direct flight from mco to ord was cancelled and i was switched to a connecting flight automatically by the airline.
(from MCO to MIA , and then MIA to ORD.)

Since I know nothing about this airport, I assume it is possible to switch from one plane to another in that short time period.

But, I have heard others talk about missing connecting flights in other airports, so that thought has crossed my mind.

Miami is quite large. Here is a map: http://www.miami-airport.com/terminal_gates.asp
I would say switching and making your flight largely depends on the gate numbers.

thank you for that link!
i do appreciate it.

since the cancellation happened a day ago, i'm just now trying to work something out for that flight, if delays occur and i miss the connection.

I won't know the gate assignment until closer to the return flight.
