I am looking to do tours or mild type rides that do things about making movies what would everyone recommend is it MGM or universal or both?

::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo There's a couple of things in MGM. One is the Backlot Tour where they show you how they do effects for a movie such as Pearl Harbor. Then you take a train ride (it's not really a train, but trolley didn't sound good either) and show you some props used in movies and then you go on the set of "catastrophy canyon." I like the Backlot a lot, some don't - to each his own. They also have the Great Movie Ride which are huge cars that travel slowly through a whole bunch of sets from famous movies such as: Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, Alien, Singing in the Rain, Mary Poppins, Public Enemy, etc. It's cool. They have the Indiana Jones Stunt Show as well. Universal is more "riding IN the movies" while MGM (I think) has more "how'd they do that?"

The following rides offer some sort of insight into the movie making process:

Magic of Disney Animation*
Walt Disney: One Man's Dream
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show
Backlot Tour*
Sounds Dangerous

* denotes an actual tour while the others are shows.
