Is there a way to go by boat from MGM to epcot? If so where is the dock located at.

Thanks ::MickeyMo

Yes! When you exit MGM, stay to the left. A path will turn left at the lake. The boat dock is down there. It takes about 30min. The boat stops at Swam & Dolphin, then Yacht & Beach, then Boardwalk, then Int'l Gateway. Very relaxing ride.

When you exit MGM, the boat ramp is aaallll the way to the left. This boat will take you to the Epcot resort hotels, first the Swan/Dolphin, then Boardwalk, then Yacht/Beach Club, then finally it will go to Epcot. I find it faster to take the boat to the Swan or Boardwalk and then walk from there.

You can also walk all the way from MGM to Epcot. Instead of going left towards the boat ramp, go the the right. It's a very nice walk and you can take it at a leisurely pace if you want.

I agree that the walk is faster and a nice walk. However, after all the walking in the parks the boat ride is relaxing. If you want to walk keep walking around the lake with the water on your left. That walk continues on to the Boardwalk area. You can then continue straight through there or take a left over the bridge to the Yacht/Beach club areas. Either walk will take you to the International Gateway.

Thanks for your answers.I'm trying to visualize this in my head. Is there a good map I cAn look at to see this? Also is the Pop Century closer enough to either park to walk to?

It is not advisable, nor permissible, to walk between most parks and resorts. The roadways at WDW are very busy and there aren't typically any sidewalks. This is with a few exceptions, however. You can walk between MGM and Epcot, and between either park and the Epcot area resorts (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, their associated Villas and the Swan & Dolphin). There is also a walking path between Old Key West and Downtown Disney and another walking path between Saratoga Springs and Downtown Disney. You can also walk between the MK and Contemporary and the Polynesian and TTC. Aside from those listed, you can not walk to or between parks and resorts on property. It's not really close enough to do so anyway, and with free transporatation, why bother?
