I have a question. We are thinking that on the day we are planning for MGM we want to go over to Epcot's world showcase for dinner and maybe see one of the country movies.

Can we take a boat from MGM to the international gateway area or will it only drop us off at the Boardwalk and /or the Yacht club area.

If it only goes to the BW and YC area which one is closer to the entrance to Epcot.

Thanks

The boat will take you to the internation gateway of Epcot after stops at the resorts or you can walk there through the resorts.

You can also walk all the way from MGM.

Depending on the crowd trying to use the boat and when the last boat left, you can walk to EPCOT. It takes about 20-25 minutes (longer if you stop by the ESPN club for a cool one:)).

20-25 minutes? Add time if you're not accustomed to the Florida climate. You're hot/tired. You have children who are hot/tired. You have a S/O who is hot/tired. You have a room at the Swan/Dolphin/Yacht Club/Beach Club/Boardwalk and just want to "freshen up" a tad before heading out again.

It took me 10-15 minutes to walk from the Dolphin to MGM and I never saw a boat in either direction.

Walking will definately take you less time. The boat stops at the Swan/Dolphin, YC/BC, and BWI/BWV. By the time it makes all those stops, you could be there by walking.

The boats are air-conditioned, and if you are not in a hurry, I would still take them. My DH and one of my DD's walked, just from the Swan to Epcot, while myself and my other DD decided to take the boat. Well, my DH got there about 15 minutes before us and was waiting. It took us 30 minutes, and him 15 minutes.

If the heat gets to you though, or you making the walk in the heat of the afternoon, you might want to take the boat.
