MGM to Boardwalk via Boat?

Can anyone tell me where you pickup the boat from MGM to Boardwalk and how long a trip it is?

Hi Suebie,

Go left after exiting the Studios. It's about 15 minutes on the boat from the time the boat leaves the Studios.

If the boat is not there when you come out of the Studios, it will be quicker (and sweatier!) to walk. In that case, go right and follow the pathway along the body of water.

If you are in no rush, you should try the boat....yes it does take longer than walking or taking a bus but, unless you just need to be somewhere it is a very cool experience and worth the wait in my opionion. You get to see some areas from a different perspective than usual. It is especially convienent if going to WS at Epcot, it keeps you from having to hoof it from the front of the park to the back....very nice.

I love taking that boat! It is a very nice way to relax too! I think it is about a 10 to 15 minute trip.

If you do take the boat, I would suggest you get off at the first stop, at the Swan/Dolphin. Walking up and over the bridge to the Boarwalk takes just a minute and is a big time saver.

If there is no boat docked at the MGM pier, it will be faster to walk.

Beat me to it!! We stayed at the Boardwalk and made ample use of the boats. Being able to get to 2 different parks without using your car or a bus is a VERY good thing! I love the walk from the boardwalk over to the International Gateway.
