MGM on Saturdays in October??

Am I right in thinking that MK is always busy on Saturdays, and Epcot will be too when the F & W festival is on? So the parks we should choose from are AK or MGM for a Saturday? I was really planning AK for the day we do MNSSHP (Thurs), and Epcot on Weds, and since we only want to do 3 park days in total I thought we'd take a break on Friday and do MGM on Saturday - how busy will MGM be?

Id got to AK on Saturday as Saturday is the busiest day and AK is always the least crowded. I'd go to MGM Thurs or Fri.

Our park days will be Wed, Thurs, Fri & Sat - and only 3 of those. The only day for MNSSHP while we are there is Thurs. So we wanted to do Epcot on a day where we planned nothing else - so Weds or Fri (wanted to avoid Sat there). We thought AK on Thurs because it's early closing and we could eat dinner and relax at DD before MNSSHP. We wanted an entire day off parks, or else we'd do nothing on Thurs except the Halloween thing. So see our dilemma? Seems like Weds is busy at Epcot too, but it's really the only option. Of course, if we decide not to do the Halloween thing then it will be easier.

My ds and I where ther last year 9/27 thru 10/4. I took this picture of Disney/MGM in the early morning around 10 or 11 am. Crowds where very light and the longest wait was for Indian Jones show. I belive going this time of year is good on anyday, just keep in mind that weekends are busy.

According to The Unofficial Guide in October there are many schools that take field trips to Epcot during the week which makes it very crowded. They say it's better to visit Epcot on the weekends.
