MGM-Motor car parade, where to view it from?

We will be at WDW the first week of Aug and at MGM on Tues Aug 3. The motor car parade is new since we were there last so we have never seen it. Where would be a good place to view it from that maybe wouldn't be wall to wall people? I know it will be crowded in Aug. I'm just looking for some suggestions!

Hello!

I'm not sure if there is an attraction there yet or not, but we sat on the steps of the right side of Sounds Dangerouse with Drew Carey, right across from Echo Lake . I knew it was a good place to watch the parade because they had roped off the section next to us for priority seating.

We arrived about a half hour before and it was nice to sit down and rest for a few minutes. They have people dressed in period costumes come out and entertain you before the parade started (we saw a couple of guys do a slapstick about the "3:30 Parade" and it was great!).

I never really planned on watching this parade but three times we just sat down right before the parade started and happily watched. I don't think there is a bad spot!

Although this is a lovely parade but I don't think that it is worth waiting an hour to see.

If you sit near where the parade starts between Star Wars and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show, there's usually not as much of a crowd as you would find on Hollywood Boulevard.

We like to sit right in front of Star Tours. The parade starts right in front of it and we always have a really good view.

The steps in front of Sounds Dangerous is our favorite spot as well. If you have small children and they are down front they might well be part of the show. Great preshow acts also. Snacks available across the street also. Whatever you do, do NOT sit at the table across the street as people stand in front of you and you will not be able to see anything. No standing in front of the steps.

I have found that parades take on different characteristics according to where you stand or sit to watch them. Any parade is better than none. LOL

There are these half walls in front of the celebrity heads to the right of Sounds Dangerous. You can sit on the walls and no one can get infront of you. You can arrive 1/2 hour before the parade and there is usually one available.
