We booked Fantasmic Dinner package and eat at 4PM - yuck I know early. The show is at 9PM... This is on the day we arrive.. we will be able to get to the park around 2 PM... Would that be too much time to spend there or should we get there closer to the dinner time?

As with all the other parks, it depends on what you want to do there. If you want to see some shows, ride TOT and Rockin Roller Coaster, shop a bit, and see the parade along with Fantasmic, you won't be able to do all of that in that amount of time. If you just want to come in, eat, maybe go on a ride or two and then see Fantasmic, then I'd show up closer to 4pm.

:earsboy:

I guess I forgot dinner will probably take an hour. Then the 30 minutes we have to show up in advance for Fantasmic. I think we'll go there around 2.. hopefully sooner if the flight lands earlier. Flight lands at 12:30..transportation, check-in I gave a little room.

No Way! IMHO, the Studios can take two full days, especially during busy season. If you don't have a second day planned there, definitely try to arrive at 2:00 Get those fast passes working, and head to The Little Mermaid show. You will have more than enough to do.

NB

DS13 & I are planning (3) 1/2days when we're there in Aug

You can do the majority of mgm in the time you stated. when most people are going into fantasmic, get some rides done.

Most shows will end by about 5 and it all depends on what you want to experience: thrill rides? Shows? simulators? I think you'll need a full day personally if you want to see everything.

We typically go for 9-10 days and do MGM at least 2 times if not more. I think the issue is not having only 6 days to go but what you do in those 6 days.

If I'm not mistaken, you have TL & BB and Universal in those 6 days as well, correct? So, technically, you're only spending about 4 days for 4 parks. That's definitely not enough to get the full park experience unless you go commando on those 4 days.

You also need to account for travel time and wait times when planning your days. You may not realize it but if you go on Disney busses, it can take some time going from place to place. Wait times for rides can carve up a big chunk of your day too.

Take for instance RnR and ToT. You could waste 1/2 hour easy on just 2 rides. Then walking time to get to Star Tours, GMR, etc. I could never do all of MGM in only a few hours. MGM has a lot of shows too that if you don't time it right could eat up a few hours at least.

I guess we aren't much into shows - except the nighttime ones with lights and such. During the day we dont' mind skipping shows and sticking to the thrill rides.

Yeah unfortunately due to work schedules and such we can only go for a week. I think I may get a pass with more days so if we do have some time we can go to another park twice to pick up on what we missed.

We haven't been to WDW - well we went in the 90's but I honestly can't remember.. I guess I have a bad memory. I do remember riding ToT 6 times and the line being about 30 minutes each time - boy I bet my parents were pissed to wait that long for me. And I remember Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool.
