We've had the character breakfast here before and my DD loves it. Pluto is her favorite!!!:)
We wanted to do EE and then eat. So either late breakfast or early lunch.

Any comments from those that have done both here???
Which do you prefer?

What time does lunch begin??

Thanks!!:)

I have not done the lunch but we did eat breakfast there once and will never go back. It was awful... easily the worst meal we have ever had at WDW. The food was just disgusting, service was poor and character interaction was non existent. Maybe we just were there on an off day but I am not going to chance it again!!

I also would probably not return to H&V for breakfast. The food was ok but the character interaction was terrible. DD was 3 at the time and couldn't understand why we sat for 45 minutes without one character visiting our table.

When I said something to the character CM they eventually came by at the blink of an eye one after another. It's very busy at breakfast and that may be why, but just too hectic to start the day that way (not to mention dd's patience running thin and mine too).

Now lunch on the other hand is totally different. We've been there twice for lunch and both times the food was very good. The character interaction was great. Because lunch is slower paced and not as crazy it's much more relaxing and fun. I highely recommend lunch at H&V.

We've actually been there 4 or 5 times for breakfast and every time has been good to great!
Couple times it was crowded, but that did not deter the characters from spending enough quality time with all the guests.
Once, when Pluto found out he was my DD favorite (she was wearing a Pluto shirt and hat!!) ....he was AWESOME!!! Kept coming over...even though it was busy and he was visiting all the other guests...he would swing by on the way to another table and just either pat my DD on the head or tickle her, etc....Then he stole her hat! My DD didn't know what to think, she tried to chase him, and he kind played keep away with the hat, then he ran off to the kitchen. A while later he returned with the hat and had autographed it for her and with a special Pluto pin on it!!!
It is one of her best memories.

Anyway, we have never done lunch there and was wondering if it tends to be more or less crowded??
And what is the earliest PS for Lunch?

I would choose lunch over dinner... that gives you time to tour the parks when it is less crowded, and when you are starting to get hot and tired, go to lunch. We usually go around 11:30 am.

We LOVE the lunch buffet at Hollywood and Vine! The buffet is great... many items to choose from for both the kids and the adults. The characters here are THE BEST! PLUTO is a lot of fun! Goofy and Minnie swingdance, and the other characters go around and dance with the kids. The kids love the make your own sundae station. We have always had good service, good food and good character interaction.

I would definitely choose to do an early lunch, before it gets too crowded, and when they are first putting the lunch items on the buffet line... this is definitely the BEST time to go!

Have a great time!

We were there around 11:00 am and they closed one of the two stations they had the breakfast items on. They had put out the lunch items on the open one and everyone went to that station until they removed all the breakfast items from the closed one. They then opened it up with the lunch items. We enjoyed the lunch meal, but I think if we would have been there 15 minutes sooner we might have got some breakfast items as well as the lunch items.

We always do EE at MGM & do Tower of Terror & Rock-n-Roller Coaster on empty stomachs. ;)

Then we eat an early lunch around 11:30 am. The restaurant is never full at this time, so we get great character interaction & because they are just putting out the lunch entrees, everything is always very fresh & hot. This is our favorite restaurant at MGM, but we haven't tried breakfast here. I have heard it isn't as popular. Hope this helps!

We really enjoy H&V for lunch. We have been there 3 times and it's been great every time. I always schedule the first ps (11:30). It's nice because they still have some breakfast food out. That way my kids can have some eggs and pancakes for lunch, along with the usual mac and cheese.
