MGM? Help

We love Sci-Fi and have 2 ressies for our trip next month. Probably will only be able to make it to one of them, but since it's a must do for us I made 2.

Just got back from MGM yesterday. If you are into Star Wars you will not be disappointed. The whole park was steeped in Star Wars lore. On the other hand, if you are looking for quality dining, MGM has some work to do. I have eaten at 50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi and do not care for the food at either. I do enjoy H&V but it does not open until 3PM. The ABC Commissary actually has pretty good food if you can put up with counter service.

We ate at Sci Fi for lunch on our last trip and loved it!! My girls (ages 11 & 8 at the time) enjoyed it. My husband and I shared the steak sandwich - they even brought it out on two plates. The girls each got a corn dog meal. This was the one trip where they both ate every morsel of food on their plate!!! To me that makes it a winner!! Our steak sandwich was very good. It was enough for DH & I to share and be full without being overstuffed.

While planning for our next trip I asked the girls the one place they "had" to eat again and they both picked Sci Fi.

I say give it a try.

Thanks for all the replies. Now I don't know what to do. The Poly concierge contacted me this weekend to let me know that they were able to secure CRT early in the morning on the day we are heading to MGM, so now I am worried that we will be full still at lunch time! Maybe we will keep our ressies and just share appetizers (have heard good things about the onion rings) so we can enjoy the atmosphere.
Thanks for the info on SW weekend exnortherner, I am one too (an ex-northerner, I mean) we have heard great things about this event and we are really looking forward to it. My kids don't know we are going and keep wondering why I am picking SW movies to watch on family movie nights!
