MGM Great Movie Ride--New Date

This may be old news, but I just saw on the Disney site that the Great Movie Ride is now scheduled to reopen on June 8th. Yipee!! Now it should be open for our late June trip. Hope this helps some others out too.

It should be noted that this date is strictly rumor.

Why is this rumor? I saw this on the refurbishment schedule at disney.com. While everything is subject to change, how much more "official" can it get?

The offical web site says Feb 24- Jun 8. This has been changed at least twice that I know of.

Do you think any of the MGM stuff will be replaced? I heard that the agreement they had between disney and MGM was over a while ago(thought that's way to push to us Disney Studios name). Hope not too much is changed..love that ride! Won't be the same without Muchkinland and the Witch!

I agree with philaround - PLEASE, PLEASE don't open GMR on the 8th. My family and I are flying home on the 8th and usually do not go to a park that day.

We arrive on the 14th & check out on the 27th so before with the old reopen date we were just going to miss it.

I'mm keeping my fingers crossed! We'll be there from the 10-15th and were so disappointed when we saw it was going to be closed.
