Hey everyone,

This is my first post. This site is great, I just discovered it while doing research for my trip in June (hoping for E-ride nights!). Anyways, in my trip, we have decided to do one day at MGM and Epcot. We have been to both parks before a few times, and just want to hit the highlights. We decided to do a full day at MK and are doing AK the morning before we leave.

Should we do Epcot first and then move to MGM, or vice versa? I know Mission Space and Test Track both have long lines, but we would like to get rides ToT and RnRc also. Which way would save us the most time? I know we could do MS and TT early at Epcot, and then also catch the opening of the World Showcase for Maelstrom. However, besides MS and TT, the lines at Epcot are usually not bad compared to MGM. We are probably going to do this on a Friday. What does everyone think?

Welcome! I'm kinda new here too. In my personal opinion I would do EPCOT in the afternoon and evening and MGM in the morning. That way you could have a nice dinner in WS and catch IllumiNations. Good luck and I hope you have a great trip!

Your plan can easily be done if you know going in you wont get to do too much.

Friday is magic hour for AK, so you will not gain that extra hour, but it will help somewhat with crowds later in the day.
It looks like both parks are 9am to 9pm, with the exception of Disney Studios being open till 10 on June 11th.

I would go with Dis Studios in the AM and Epcot in the PM. But that is only because I enjoy Epcot at night. I'm not sure if either choice would give you much of an advantage over the other.

I would say your choice depends upon which night-time show you want to try - Illuminations of Fantsmic! If you weren't planning on one of those, then I would go to MGM in the morning. Take the ferry to the Beach Club and walk over to Epcot. Go to Future World and get fastpasses for MS or TT, then walk around WS. Head back to Future World to use your Fastpasses, then watch Illuminations.

Don't have a big sitdown meal at WS since you have limited time - but grab different things at the counter service places at WS.

Thanks for the responses. How late will fastpasses be available for MS and TT? I thought they would run out really quickly. If we use the single rider line, what are the chances that two people don't get to ride together?

I think I would do MGM first. It is a smaller park and usually gets pretty crowded in the afternoon. Get in and do the rides you want and head over to Epcot. The lines probably will not be as bad there in the afternoon except for MS and Test Track. I would expect when you get your fast pass you will have a long wait before your can use it so you can do some other things. My son and I have done the single rider line at test track several times over the years and usually we do not end up in the same car. I have not been since they opened up MS ( going in May to do it !!!) so I do not anything about it.
