I looked up the weather for our cruise next year and it seems that it is overcast in June and T-storms in July & Aug. :(
Has anyone been there at those times of the year and what was your experience? Was it still nice for excursions? I went back like 4yrs and it was the same type of weather. Any input would be appreciated. You guys (and girls) have been wonderful answering my questions!::yes::

I would love to know what the June weather is like from someone who has cruised the Mexican Riviera! Anyone???

What port did you look up?

Looking at the weather for San Pedro (Los Angeles Harbor), the summer looks warm and dry: http://www.weather.com/weather/climatology/monthly/USCA1009?from=search

Looking at the weather for Cabo San Lucas, the summer looks hot and dry: http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/climatology/monthly/MXBS0135?from=search

I can't speak from experience, because I've never taken a Mexican Riviera cruise. But I've visited Southern California many times in the summer. It's true that the coast tends to be overcast in June. But summer thunderstorms are very rare. In fact, any rain in the summer is very rare.

I'm in southern california and in June we get "June Gloom"; mostly overcast but it's unusual for rain. It's still hot and people flock to the beaches June, July, August. It hardly ever rains (there may be rain once or twice but nothing major) during those months. August is typically the hotest month here. The weather should be nice during that time, no worries.....

Horace...I was actually looking at Matzatlan and Puerta V. Those looked like they might be kind of wet! I live in north of Disneyland so I know that we have June gloom here, but I was hoping on vacation we wouldn't actually have rain! Thanks for the weather links.

My husband spoke to his friend last night who goes to Mazatlan most summers and he said the weather is basically like southern cal weather but it does get a tad more wet. He said it doesn't stop people from going to the beach and enjoying the summer there, so he said not to worry. He said it's still beautiful.

Thank you LiserAnn...You made my day! :bounce:

this may be a stupid question but do some of the excursions/tours still take place in thunderstorms or is it generally considered unsafe?

Like horseback riding for example. They might do in the rain but not in a storm?

Or traveling via jeep-like vehicle. Would do assuming not so much rain as to get them stuck?

Just wondering.
