Mexican Restaurant Recommendations

We are looking for you favorite authentic Mexican Restaurant in the Disney World/Kissimmee area. Even better if it is Taco place.

All of my favorites are not in the Disney area, but in case you get no other replies here are my recommendations. Azteca in the Southchase area and El Potro which has multiple locations, the closest probably being in the Universal area. For tacos Gringos Locos is good, but that is probably too far for you. And I would recommend staying away from Sloppy Taco Palace. I know people who love that place, but the food tasted like plastic to me.

Border Grill is over by Universal, but has some of the best tacos I've had.

Chuy's on 192 is great. Fun atmosphere and very reasonably priced as well.

Yet another vote for Chuy's on 192. We love that place. I believe there is also a location near the convention center off I drive.

We usually go twice in a week long trip. Ask for some of the ranch jalepeno dip with your chips. The Tres Leches cake is the best I've ever had and the portion is HUGE.

We're the odd ducks. We didn't like Chuy's but loved Chevy's near Downtown Disney.

DD worked at Disney and LOVES Mexican and this was her favorite.

DS just got back and went to Chuy for first time and he enjoyed that as well.

I rate Poblanos better than El Tapatio especially for tacos, but I just wanted to give another suggestion alongside Poblanos.

no problem! i love real mexican food/tacos that aren't watered down for american tastes...i can't wait to go back and get some pastor and lengua tacos.

You assume the OP is knowing what they are asking for. I have heard many people refer to many an independent TexMex restaurants as authentic Mexican. Authentic Mexican is far more rare than TexMex.
