Not aware of one. We'll miss you in WDW by a month, we're heading down the first week in June.

Hi, I live 10 miles from the Atlanta airport usually get to Orlando on Airtran 89.00 roundtrip, My son and I are going May 31 to June 7.

I just booked this last night and then realized what event in Disney happens during that week, oh well I do not think that it will interfere with our plans. I know how to do Disney, get there at rope drop and get fast passes. When the crowds hit, Leave for a swim rest and come back for fireworks and fun.

If I only had 1 or 2 people to fly we'd do that too! But with 8 people...I think gas will actually be cheaper....LOL

I'm from Atlanta, too. (Marietta, actually)

We're going the second week of May after our college graduation, so we'll miss you by a few weeks.

Nice to see some more Atlanta folks on the boards

If I could get airfare for only $89 roundtrip each, we'd be flying too! We flew last trip but this trip it looks like we are driving. There are advantages to driving... we can bring a dorm sized fridge and a microwave to cut down on the food costs. Even better would be to find a single mother that wanted to share the trip...

If only I knew you the past few yrs!! I"ve been a single mom goin solo forever it seemed!!! But... hey, I'll keep you in mind, cuz this will be my DBF's first trip and I'm sure he won't want to go as much or often as I do!! LOL
And, in MOnroe...you're not too far :)

Raysnkaysmom, you are probably right... DBF's tend to get upset about that... Go figure.

I'm in Atlanta, and am travelling that week. We'll only be one night at AKV, and then on to Vero Beach for the week. I love travelling at that time -- good weather, they're gearing up for summer with hours and staffing, but it's not too crowded or expensive (with DVC points) yet. And our kids are out of school, but most are not.

We won't be making a May trip this year. The February deal was too good to pass up. We will need to visit in Feb and maybe again in October or November.

Hi Ya'all! I am east of ATL...would love to go down in May but my kids don't get out until the end of May. I think June works better for us! Anyone going in June?:)

East of Atlanta? Hmmm, I work in Jonesboro... live in Monroe... Drive through Stockbridge, Conyers and Walnut Grove daily. I'll bet we are in the same neck of the woods.

My DD6 and I are returning to the WDW during the February school break. The deal was too sweet to pass up. This will be out longest trip (eight days) but yet our least expensive ($1002 minus $200 gift card = $802). You go, Disney!!!

You are going to Orlando in June? Two words: CROWDS and HEAT. Think hot, humid heat with lots and lots of folks waiting for each ride... Think about what it's like in the summertime when you travel outdoors near Atlanta... now add 10 -15 degrees...

My kids get out May 23rd...so we are leaving that Saturday!! We'll be there the last week of May into June 1.. trying to avoid a bit of heat!

Hey...I live in Conyers! It seems as if I'm missing everyone's dates as well. I'll be down for my birthday February 20-24.

Wait! You are paying for 4 days? You buy 4 you get 3 free plus a $200 card!!! Time to call Disney and switch promotion codes.

We do overlap by two days. We are at the world Feb 14-21. It appears that we are driving unless the airfare drops a whole bunch.

Though from Chicago here, I have organized three or four Atlanta meets over the years, coinciding with business trips I have had there in the past. The meets have been there, in the Atlanta area, not WDW. I have also met up with a good number of folks from Atlanta while at WDW too. You folks know how to party. :cool1:

I was able to Google a few past meet threads, with pictures.........

Actually, we're only flying in on the evening of the 20th. I'm using a free birthday day on the 21st, and my mom is buying a one day ticket. The 22nd, we're going to have a pool/shopping/nice dinner day. Then, on the 23rd, mom is using her free birthday day, and I'm buying a one day. That way, essentially, we're both going for two days for the price of one. So, we're not packaging it in any way shape or form. Besides, I can't take more than a few days off from work at a time, so I couldn't spend all 7 days anyways. (no matter how much I'd love to LoL)
