Hi. I have a question about paying DVD.

I have a contract in the works now. I've paid the initial $500, and I'll soon owe the rest. I know when the paperwork comes, it asks that you include a check for the balance. My question is, does it have to be a check, or can I call Member Accounting and have them bill the balance to a charge card?

The reason I ask is not because I want to use a credit card to finance this purchase. Rather, I have a card that gives 1.5% cash back instantly, so if I can pay for my DVC contract with this card, I'll save a nice chunk of change. Obviously I put the initial $500 on a card, but I didn't know if I could pay for the rest that way.

Yes, you can have it charged to a credit card.

That's great news. I guess when I send back all the papers, I should just include a note saying that there is no check because I have already called in and charged the balance?

You can call ms and tell them what you want to do, you may not have to wait until your paper work reaches them to do it. They'll take your money anytime!! We used a debit card and had no trouble. Missy

Yup, I charged the whole thing to my Disney Visa and ate a couple of nice disney dinners on the 1% I got back! Good plan.

I used my AOL Visa and got 7 or 8 months free AOL. They even split the payment for me so that I would not go over my credit limit. 50% right away and 50% about a month later before closing (the first payment had cleared). I paid it off immediately so no interest charges and used money from other sources. It was actually my guide's idea.

Hi there,

Weird, because we asked Hubert, or guide, and he said "NO, you can't pay the balance by credit card". Now I'm kinda' ticked off. I guess maybe we would have done what we did and used the "financing" becuase we got the discounted $90 a point at SSR and then just paid it off. I wonder why our guide told us "no". I think I need to call him tomorrow. LOL

Anyone else told "NO"?

Donna
