metal on lanyard for metal detector rides?

I believe I know the answer to this but can anyone confirm that even lanyards with a metal clip are allowed on the metal detector rides? As best I can tell from the Universal Store, the ones they sell have metal on them so I can't imagine they wouldn't be allowed but as a chronic worrier, I'm looking for confirmation! Thanks!

My 2 boys had no problems with the metal clip on a lanyard. I had no problem with a metal belt buckle getting into park either. But did not ride the crazy roller coasters

They do allow lanyards.

My son had a little metal in his older lanyard, and it was fine. He just took it off for the metal detector and then put it back on.

DH and DS have never had problems with their lanyards. Sometimes it's been Universal ones and sometimes not.

Just FYI: They allowed the large Photopass metal clip that's on the lanyard supplied with the pass - on the Hulk - but the much smaller metal clip (see Nooz Neck Cord link) holding my reading glasses to my lanyard wasn't allowed - or the rubber case holding them. So I could take on my Lanyard, Photopass Lanyard (both with metal clips) and my reading glasses - but would have to leave behind the little rubber case and metal clip to pass.

Did you have to put the fish in a locker?

My theory is that I think they allow lanyards or any kind just knowing that many people keep their express passes or park tickets in there, which are their keys to their lockers. They essentially don't want you to have anything else on you. And they make you tuck your lanyards into your shirt before riding. I don't think my lanyard has ever triggered the metal detector, but I think one time my underwire bra did. They just wand you and make sure you don't have anything else on you if the metal detector goes off.

Lanyards as they sell them, with nothing more than pins added, fine. They realize you have to have them to have the EP
They'll tell you to tuck them in your shirt.
But they won't allow anything added to them, such as the glasses PP has
