Metal Detectors - Lanyards

Nope, even sunglasses are fine.

Are these lanyards ok to wear on the rides? I will be coming to Universal for the first time and don't want to hold up the lines at rides for having items on my person that can not be taken on the rides and I though I read somewhere that only lanyards with certain closing mechanisms were allowed.

Are you thinking of waistpacks? Those with certain closing mechanisms are allowed, but NOT on the biggest rides where the metal detectors are being used.

I figure that if they sell a lanyard on their property, you're allowed to use them, and I"m pretty sure they sell them like that.

Remember, they know that you have to have your ticket ON you and your express pass especially on you (if you have one) while on those rides, so you have to be able to carry them *somehow*. Therefore, lanyards pretty much have to be allowed. Because there's not much of an option! Especially for the EPs.

Just got home from our trip, hubby and I both wore lanyards, he rode all the coasters and just tucked it in his shirt.
