message to my daughter's next boyfriend....

I bet it won't seem so funny if/when it happens to you!;):goodvibes

Hmmm. Well considering he went out with her 3 times before he decided he couldn't stand being asked how to do basic math while she dragged him shopping anymore and he and I have been together for 2 1/2 years and engaged for 3, I don't forsee that happening. :lmao:

If you are breaking up with someone who is overly dramatic about everything using a text message or email might be best for your own sanity. No crying or trying to convince you to give him/her a second chance or anything like that (which is pretty much always a bad idea). This is especially true in a short relationship.

If you are dating someone who will take the breakup like an adult and not turn into an emotional disaster (or waits until later to do so) or it was a long term relationship then a face to face conversation is the better way to go.

It just depends on the circumstances but sometimes you just don't want to deal with the drama. In the end the result is the same and it doesn't really matter the way you found out does it?

coward..it's the first thing that entered my mind. Sorry your DD is dealing with this, and that it is so common.
