This could be a very dangerous thread!! When that video gets out, many VMK/Diser may feel the need to try an egg cream and we will then have many MIA from VMK due to egg cream illness!!

ok ok, i also have another oddity that drives my wife and kids nuts. I havent seen to many people with this one though.

Does anyone else eat 1 thing at a time? What i mean by that is, say on thanksgiving...I eat ALL of my stuffing, then move on to turkey, then potatoes, then veggies (maybe not in that order). but i eat all of one thing before any of another. Like if we go to Mickey D's, i eat all of my fries, then the burger. Oh and the different foods definitely cant touch each other on the plate lol. Yeah, it's probably some form of O.C.D. but it doesnt bother me lol.

I thought it was only my sister that does that!! Nothing can touch on her plate and she eats everything one at a time! She took back after my mom in the whole eating one thing at a time. Ive never been able to understand it as it gets mixed in your stomach , but hey you gotta do what makes you happy

but does that mean when you have bean on toast it would be beans on a plate with toast and you eat every bean seperately? then eat the toast

or ice cream with sprinkles would be ice cream with a side order of sprinkles and you have to eat all the sprinkles first then by the time that ends the ice cream would have melted?

lol ok one prepared food cant touch another prepared food.. hows that? Ice cream with sprinkles would be 1 prepared food, but i wouldnt want it touching my drink lol. I do eat sandwhiches and stuff. Can't say i do beans and toast though lol.

although when my wife makes hot dogs (on buns) and baked beans, the baked beans are on their own saucer and i do eat them all first, then the hot dog(s) lol.

also no hot/cold together (dont do lettuce and tomato on burgers etc) only exception is hot fudge on ice cream lol.

Ok, I am with you NJ Mike in that nothing touches each other. I always ate like a bird growing up and this is one habit that has never changed!
More about this hot-dog thing Mike...are you like me and eat the bun seperate from the hot dog??? LOL I eat very few "sandwiches". Most the time everything is seperate!

I think you should have one every day for at least two weeks just to see if you get to like them.

I'm up for anything dudes! Never afraid to try new things...as long as they're a delicacy somewhere in the world. I mean...you have you ever tried sea urchin sushi before? I have...and never will again. I think I'm going to stick to the more well known denizens of the sea now.

ahh, well i've also been known to dip my fries in my vanilla milkshake from time to time. But usually i prefer to cover them with yellow mustard, which my wife & kids think is gross too lol.

Mmmmmmmmmmm...........mustard (always pronounced mouse-turd in our house) I HATE ketchup. (and I of course married someone who puts ketchup on EVERYTHING)

Got one for you Fly

A childhood favourite of mine.

You will need:

2 Slices of bread
Some Cheese
Jam: Your Choice, strawberry works well (oh sorry you guys call it jelly)


So basically make a cheese sandwich then put jam on and pop it under the grill to toast it. There you go, watch out the jam will be hot when it comes out.

Wow, cake and ice cream at the same sitting Mike?? lol I actually only will have one or the other (cake or ice cream). I prefer Ice Milk or even Sorbet. As far as cake goes...MMmmmmmmmm Yes please! Especially chocolate

I am trying to think of something else...

I do place a few sprigs of fresh rosemary in Apple Jelly. Then place it in the microwave for a few until the rosemary flavor is transfered into the jelly. I take the rosemary out and let the Apple-Rosemary jelly cool (sometimes I just use it warm) and then use it as a spread on Saltine Crackers. Learned this from a garden show I went to many years ago! Tastes great during the summer- very refreshing!

Ground beef, cheese (ok that could be considered cold i guess), and taco sauce. Thats it, no lettuce, or anything else. lol

also, i drive my wife nuts scraping the onions and pickles off of my 1/4 lb'ers at mcdonalds. But it takes 3 times as long to order them without them.


we also have hoagies here in southern nj (subs in the rest of the country lol). I order a turkey hoagie, hold the hoagie (lettuce, tomato, onions, etc) lol. So i get turkey and mayo on a hoagie (sub) roll.

Mike, does it pain you to see someone eat there stuff all mixed together? Like, do you have to look away? When DH is eating those terrible concoctions from Taco Bell (sorry if you actually like the food chain...DH does), I can not be near him! It grosses me out to see all those ingredients mixed together!!!

Hmmm...what about pizza? Or is that safe since the cheese is not "cold" at the time of eating?

I can watch people eat the stuff all mixed, or eat stuffing, turkey, and potatoes all on one forkful on thanksgiving (wife does that lol). I just particularly dont like it myself.

I'm so used to my little habits now, and so is my family, that we really dont notice it anymore.

pizza= cheese or extra cheese, with the ocasional pepperoni once in a while. thats it, no 5 topping suckers for me lol.


btw, we are having home made hamburgers (on the grill) and tater-tots for dinner tonight. Hey bella, i should take a pic of my tater-tots all covered in mustard for you. yumm yumm.

I think FLY should go to mcdonalds, get a large fry, come home and hit them with the french's mustard and have a go at it.

okay here is one to try. French fry sandwiches. that 's right. Dh puts his french fries between to pieces of buttered bread or toast. Say's it is a family tradition thingy. His Dad loved them.

Okay also I would like to know how come you in the USA do not have gravy with your french fries. Cheese yes gravy have to go hunting for that. Gravy and fries is really big here in Canada.
