I saw this post by DCL earlier and got a little concerned that they may cut back on the decorations on the classic ships this year? Has anyone heard anything like that? I love the themes trees and decor all around the ship. I’m hoping that I’m just reading too much into this.

I don't see that advertisement saying that anything is being cut back.

on the subject of the holiday decorations....anyone know when they typically take them down? We're sailing on the Destiny January 4th. Any chance they will still be up? (I personally do not take down decorations at/in the house until after Jan 6/"Little Christmas"/"3 Kings Day" - but I'd bet they do it sooner)

Well, we were on the Magic years ago on a cruise that ended on January 3rd and they were taking them down as we waiting in line to get off the ship. We were within sight of the Gingerbread house in the Atrium for most of the 45 minutes we were in line, and got to watch two burly Longshoremen looking guys taking a sledge hammer to the Gingerbread house to remove it. Apparently it really is something that at least looks like real gingerbread, and they make a new one every year.

Typically the decorations come down at the end of a cruise that goes over New Years Eve.

There are no Merry Time Cruises on the Disney Destiny until Nov 2026. The ship currently has no holiday decorations and no word on if they will add any this year.

I knew there weren't any official Merrytime sailings. Assumed there would still be decorations, but maybe not. They may want to have the ship in it's "normal" (for lack of a better term) state on display for the initial sailings.
