We just decided to drive down two days early for our November 12, 7 day Eastern cruise and are staying (hopefully) at the Ron Jon's Cape Caribe. Since we "adopted" a manatee some years ago, I'd love to surprise my kids with a trip to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge, which the Passporter Guide says is right past port on Cocoa Beach.
Have any of you ever done this? It says there are manatee sightings and alligators/other wildlife, but in November I'm not sure what we'd see. Supposedly it is also the country's largest sea turtle nesting sites, so it sounds awesome. Love some feedback if possible! Thanks in advance, Melissa
Oh, PS: Just thought of another question: Is the Ron Jon's pool warm enough to swim in early November? Thanks!!
