Merida is on our must see list, but I am finding very little info about her wait times. Is she usually there all day or just specific times? Should we try for her first thing in the AM after rope drop. (we plan to start in that area). We are going in Late August so hopefully smaller crowds that normal.

Kenny the Pirate suggests that you try for her first thing in the morning. That's probably your best bet to catch her with a low wait time.

Merida meets mostly continuously throughout the day until about 6:15. She takes a break for the parade, and the normal short breaks every hour.

Her line can be very deceiving since it is in 2 parts. The ~inside of the line is about 20 minutes. Rope drop will be your best bet for a short wait since the line seems to hover around 45-60 minutes

Merida meets continuously starting at 9:15 am.

They will close the doors to the area every hour(?ish) but within 1 minute they'll be open again. As pp's said, it can be decieving, you line up outside the gates, then they let you into the gate where you wait while Merida's out. Depending on how fast things are going, they'll continue to let people in to see her til she has to leave (and come right back)

She'll leave for parade, not sure the exact timing.

I would suggest going right as the park opens, if you have the available forces in your family, send one person to stand in line while the others go ride something or meet a character that starts right at 9, and have them join the line at 9:15.

Not always 9:15.......Wednesday we went to meet her and it was 9:45.
Not sure if it changes around or it was for that day for some reason.
The other days we tried it was 9:15

When we met her we were told the wait was at least half an hour from where we got in line, but we only waited about 20 minutes. We went mid day in November.

We did rope drop and walked straight to Merida. She started at 9:15, rope drop was 9 am, so we were only a few people back. She is there intermittently during the day so I would definitely do her first thing in the morning.

Merida was one of the few characters we didn't get to meet on our last trip because her line was always quite long, even checking around 9:10 am (on an EMH morning), so next time I would definitely try to rope drop her!

She was on our must do list as well, and I have a 9 yr old boy (he was 8 at the time). She was honestly the best character interaction ever! My son LOVED her. She starts meeting at 9:15 in the morning. We had an early ADR for Crystal Palace so we ate there first and then went to her meet and greet spot. We got there around 9 and were the first in line and good thing too because about 5 minutes later the crowd started to assemble and it was super super busy! I hear that she is always a popular meet and greet and that you should see her early in the AM if you don't want a long wait.

I would see her first, then go check the wait for Rapunzel. If it's too long, perhaps pick that as your 4th FP?

Is there fastpasses available for Merida? I am not finding any so that has me a little nervous that she is super popular

Merida doesn't have any FPs so thats why you can't find any. Your best bet is to get to her line at RD. She starts meeting at 9:15, so thats the best time to meet with her.

We watched the afternoon parade right in liberty square by the path that goes towards her meet and greet. Soon as the parade ended, went straight to there and was about 4th in line when she got back. She was so fun and great with my daughter.

When we were there in December for MVMCP, we waited 45 minutes and then had to leave so we wouldn't miss the parade. She was spending an insane amount of time with each group. We met her before and this wasn't the case. I felt bad. My 13 year old Merida lookalike was not happy.

Was that the 3pm parade? How long did you have to wait for her to show back up?

Can you tell me where is her meet and greet? I thought i knew but after reading this thread I am not sure. :)

Its to right of Cinderella's Castle, kind of in front of the winnie the pooh ride and 7DMT on that little road over there that takes you to those rides and over to tomorrowland. Its kind of hard to see because its in the trees behind big wooden walls

Yep it was the 3pm one. I think after the walk over to her area it took her about 20 minutes or so to get there. It was in the shade and just a nice little break for our girls to have a quick snack.
