Merging 2 Hoop Dee Doo Revue Reservations

Weird question - I made a reservation for Hoop Dee Doo Revue for a party of 9 back in November (at my 180 day mark). My dad and step mom have now decided they want to come too (which is great, we want them to). I had them book their own reservation and we'd just sit separately because I didn't want to try and re-book the current party of 9 reservation to a party of 11 since i know they assign tables based on when you booked and well, I'm selfish and want the best table available and I worry that it'll affect our table assignment (probably a ridiculous thing to worry about).

My step mom said the cast member on the phone said that we could call to add both reservations together - anyone have experience with this? Are my concerns unfounded that I'll lose my prime place on the table assignment hierarchy?

Call Disney dining, they can add two people to your reservation. I recently added a person to our reservation by calling, I don't think I was assigned a new booking number and I was definitely only charged for the new person.

The last two trips I booked at 180 but made changes within 30 days to remove people. Still had a great table. I wouldn't let the table assignment worry you too much.

It will be more fun if you are all seated together, right?
