Merchandise replacement question

Guys, I am so upset. We just got home from our Disneyland trip where we encountered MUCH higher crowds than expected, rides that were breaking down on us left and right, a Magic Morning that would have been more appropriately named Mad Morning, and heatstroke inducing temps. I started unpacking, and pulled out the one thing I'd purchased for myself -- a large (and not cheap) snow globe. I took it out of its packaging and it is leaking! I'm really upset. And since I'm a seven hour drive away, it isn't like I can just stop by and try to exchange it. Has anyone had any luck having Disney replace a broken souvenir after have already left the park?

I believe you have 30 days to return products,, I would call them and get an answer from them how to go about it...
Hope it works out for you ..

That's great to know -- I'll have to call in the morning. I hope they will stand behind their product. It wasn't dropped, and we drive so it wasn't like it was handled roughly when flying, either. Ugh.

I emailed them after one trip to see if I could get a new lid for a Halloween popcorn bucket that lost an ear in transit. To my surprise, they sent me a whole new bucket for free. They really do stand by their products. :)

I called them a few weeks after our trip in September because I had bought DD a 3 pack of Mickey earrings and the color fell out of the purple pair. I gave them the item # and had to fax a receipt (from anything, I used a BBB receipt even though I bought them at the Emporium) to prove we were there and they sent me a brand new set and told me to keep the others, no exchange needed.

Good to know, thank you! I've found the receipt, and called the number in it, but they were already closed. I'll try again tomorrow.

I think their hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm M-F and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sat (Pacific Time). Good luck!

So sorry about your frustrating trip,(and the icing on the cake-- the broken snow globe!):worried:

You shouldn't have any problem getting them to replace it for you---especially with the receipt!

Good Luck!

thank you, Cheshirecatty -- that broken snow globe really was the icing on the cake!

I called this morning, and they are sending a new one out to me, right away, basically no questions asked. I need to email them a copy of the receipt and a photo, but she noted that the merchandise was defective, and said it would not be scrutinized.

And my husband and I had lunch together today, looked at all our photopass memories, and realized that in spite of all the crowds and weather woes, we had a really good trip, made some terrific memories, and gave our kids some unforgettable memories. So, woo! I'm glad I was able to refocus and land on the bright side of things. I do love Disneyland, it is a truly magical place for me, but I'm only going in February from now on. lol. :grouphug:
