Menus with DDP Accepted Entree Notations

I notice that our DIS WDW info has a great amount of menus with menu items individually listed. Thank you for providing such detailed information. Usually, menu items that are allowable in the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) are a smaller subset of the menu for a la carte dining.

Is there a resource that shows which menu items are accepted under the DDP? Do allowable DDP menu items change too often to include an asterisked notation in the existing menus on WDW info?

It would be very helpful to discern which restaurants are extremely limited in their allowed items, and if the allowed items are those that we would choose. (ie; if a restaurant is too limited, or if we would not enjoy the items allowable; it would be helpful to know in advance so we can either choose a different restaurant or bypass the DDP altogether.)

In our experience, almost every entree is allowable under DDP if the restaurant accepts DDP. The only exception might be entrees that are meant for more than one person

True, only in that there are menu categories that don't apply to DDP (appetizers unless you're on DxDP, side dishes, alcoholic beverages, etc.). For your entree and dessert, the only exclusions/limitations you are likely to come across are:

• Items listed as "for 2" (or more) generally can't be ordered by a single diner; in many cases, the appropriate number of diners may pool their entitlements for that item. Ask your server.
• Multi-course meals, such as the feasts at Marrakesh, can be ordered with an upcharge, listed on the menu. (Most fixed-price multi-course meals, however, are DDP eligible without upcharge.)
• At signature dining, entrees featuring excessively expensive/exotic ingredients (e.g., Wagyu beef) require an upcharge; the rule of thumb here is for entrees exceeding $75, the dining plan covers the first $75.

the bold was added by me.... I don't think this is the case (I'm not 100% sure). I thought I read that the wagyu beef that was $139 had a $99 surcharge or something like that, which is obviously much less than a $75 value. I believe that any item over $75 will have a surcharge but you won't necessarily get that $75 value out of it. If that makes sense. I could be misremembering the numbers but I am pretty sure I read that about Yachtsman.

I think the crux of all responses is that we did not find the above to be true. There are certain locations where some menu items are not included but it is usually something like adding on a lobster tail or shrimp skewer or as a previous poster mentioned, a huge steak for two, etc.

I would consider all entrees available to order on DDP and then research further if your heart is set on something. For example, we were on a dining plan that included appetizers and based on my research I expected the "raw bar" portions at Boathouse to be excluded. I was glad to hear that they were not excluded but that there was a fixed number of oysters or crab claws (as an example) that were a DDP "Appetizer". FWIW, even the hugest filet was included at Boathouse on the DDP as an entree.

As the others have said, there is no list as just about everything is included. I know there are "add ons" now that are not included, say the lobster at Narcoossee's, but these exceptions are clearly stated. Expect main entrees to all be included
