Menu items from Palo if not dining there?

I can recall posts where people were able to get items from Palo (pizza and chocolate souffle come to mind immediately) when they were not dining there. It seems that some had their servers get items, and some people perhaps went by Palo and were able to get specific item for "takeout" but I cannot really remember??

I would love to try both of these items but we don't plan to eat at Palo. Can anyone share their experience with me? Thank you.:)

Wow, I havent heard of this, but it would be great! I would love to be able to go in Palo and walk out with one of their pizzas. yum!

One of the reports I read said something about this. The problem is I think it was someone staying in a Cat. 1 suite. I'm sure their concierge took care of it for them.

After dining at Palo, the next night, my husband said to the servier, "What! No fish soup on the menu?". He was just kidding. The next thing you know, he had the fish soup from Palo for his appetizer. Our server had ran upstairs and gotten a bowl for him!!

Officially, this is available only if you are in cat 1-3. However, servers have been known to make special efforts.....sometimes making a run to Palo, other times making a run to Pluto's for chicken fingers or a burger for a young one!

There was a post some time ago that stated when they were at the bar at palos for drinks they were able to get items off the menu!!:earseek:

It has been done but i believe concierge folks ae the only official people allowed to do this oe of the perks...
but on occasion a server or 2 will get an item for you...

It is possible to request items which are not on the dinner menu, should you so wish. If these meals are available at other restaurants, then the Server will do their utmost to get what you would like. HOWEVER, if you/your table guests ALL do this, then expect your meals (and fellow guest's meals) to be late. (They need to present all the meals at the same time).Your server only has one set of legs, and its a very LONG way to go (via back stairs) in order to please all the guests. They are happy to help you, but dont expect them to "Magic" up a different meal from thin air. Nat:Pinkbounc

Thanks for the info, guys. Nat, I would never in a million years ask my server to get everyone at our table items from another restaurant!!!! I don't even think that I would ask my server to get a single item from another restaurant. The point of my question was that I did recall people on occasion being able to get an item. If by going by the bar I might be able to get a pizza, then I might try that.

2 of the restruants share the same Kitchen so it is not that bad

when u ask for something from Parrotcay and Lumieres...
