Great post, I am sold!

How did you remember all that?

Did you get advance ressies? When do you have to decide if you are doing or not doing the wine?

>How did you remember all that?

I wish I could say that I have a great memory, but that would be a lie. You are given a menu to keep and make notes about the wine that you taste.

>Did you get advance ressies? When do you have to >decide if you are doing or not doing the wine?

As far as reservations go, I think this might change in the future. We could not make reservations through Disney Dining and were told we had to go to the park and make the reservations in person. DGC Hotel Guest Services tried to call ahead and make reservations, but no one answered the phone. We were able to make next day reservations at the resturant. So yes they take advanced reservations.

You get to make the wine decision when you order your meal.

Enjoy... We did

Is the Vineyard different than Napa Rose, or are there two nice restaurants at the Grand Californian that offer wine pairings?

The Vineyard is IN DCA, Napa Rose is at the Grand Californian. I hope to sample both someday! :)

So, which selections did you make for the courses and how were they? Do you know if they will have the same menu in mid-March...that's when I will be there.

Donna,
I am not sure if they will have the same menu in March. Assume that it will change often and what every they serve will be excellent.

Our choices for the evening:
Course 1 - Classic Antipasto - very good. Did not seem like alot of food, but this was just the first course. Everyone had different wines, but my
choice was the Pinot Noir. Loved the Wine.

Course 2 - Orecchiette with Rapini - Wow, the flavors were unbelievable. I am not a big pasta eater, but this was great. Wine Choice for me:
Pinot Noir (see a theme here)

Course 3 - Pan Roasted snapper with Spinach Risotto - very tender and flavorful fish. If they had this on the menu, I would order it again.

Course 4 - I chose the Pear and Almond Crisp - Ummm. It was a very light dessert. I love fruit crisps. Wine Choice (I don't like sweet wines or ports), I took a taste of the Porta Cinco and it tasted like chocolate cover cherries, so I gave it to my DH and they brought me another glas of the Pinot Noir, Carneros.

I forgot to mention that we got to view the Parade that night when dessert was being served.
You can not see it from the tables, but have to stand and look over the wall. I don't believe any table has a view of the street below where the parade route is

It sounds wonderful! Do you remember if they had a kids menu? Or do children not go? Also, what did you wear?

I used to be Debbie in Mobile but the Army keeps moving us!

Debbie,
Yes there is a kids menu (unsure of the cost), but one in our party asked about this for the future.
Since dining takes a long time, I would suggest that it may not be something for children that are very restless

Since this is located in the park, normal park attire is expected. i.e. We were in jeans and sweatshirts. (It is outdoors, so dress accordingly)

This is worthy of a "bump". Thanks for the info!
