For anyone who has dined at the following restaurants lately, please help me figure out which menus are the most up to date! There are discrepancies between menus on this site and another site. Sometimes one will include something that the other will not, other times the accompaniments are different... Specifically, I'm looking at the following restaurants and menu items:

California Grill - America's Chocolate Cake, Beef Filet (BBQ sauce or Blue Cheese Sauce), Gnocchi

Mama Melrose's - Oven-Roasted Baked Chicken
stuffed with Prosciutto, Spinach, and Fontina Cheese Over Wild Mushroom Risotto

Citricos - Halibut w/asparagus, mushrooms, and red pepper capers, Paprika and Honey-marinated Pork Tenderloin

Rose & Crown - Chicken Pastry

Thanks in advance!

Just an FYI - Disney does not post or give out menu's to any internet site, including their own. Everything and anything you see online is subject to change without notice. Never, ever make plans to eat somewhere based on a particular menu item.

I agree - I use these online menus simply to get an idea of what type of food they have at a restaurant, not the specific items. Everything is always subject to change without notice, as they say.

Wow! I was just asking a simple question - not stating that my ADRs hinge on these items. I am well aware that the menus on the sites do not originate from Disney, but some sites do not always post the date that the menu was last updated and I was just wondering if anyone knew what was more current.

All Ears has probably the most current menus out of all the sites.

I would agree that Allears is the most up to date on the menu's. BTW, I look at the menu's too  It DOES help me decide which restaurants I would like to try! :scared1: If I don't like the overall menu, or don't think my teens will enjoy it, I will not make ADR :thumbsup2

Sorry Figment, I didn't mean to fire at you. Just making a general statement, I read it all to often that folks have their entire trip planned out with what they are going to order each night only to find that the menu isn't what they read on an unofficial site. Deb Wills is a good friend of mine and I agree that her site is the most accurate, though there are quite a few menus that are not updaded for quite some time and menu's change anywhere from every 3 or 4 months to weekly or even daily in some signature restaurants.

Email me for more details

Do the restraunts at Disney post their menu's outside so you can look at it before you go in to eat?

Like Le Celliers outside menu was totally different then what we had for our menu inside......the cream cheese mashed potatoes were there inside and not outside.......so just go with the flow and when you get inside you pretty much know that the menu may not have Everything you saw outside....

I think the previous posters were trying to be helpful. There has been many threads lately where people are angry and canceling ADR's after hearing that a menu has been changed (Kona cafe and the filet for example).

I don't know but what I do know is that I asked for a menu at the concierge desk at the BWI and I got the menu that is posted on allears... I thought this was hysterical since the CM tried to cut the website off the top of the piece of paper that she gave me but I knew what was up!!! I am guessing that allears probably has the most up to date menus since even Disney Resorts use them.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I can't speak for all the restaurants, but I know that California Grill changes their menu often because they use fresh and seasonal ingredients.

When I went to CG in 2006 the Beef Filet had BBQ Sauce. I don't remember Gnocchi, I think we had mashed potatoes. And I'm not sure about the cake. Sorry I'm not that much help. But for what it's worth, I loved my food there!

Like the others said go to All ears. But always be prepared for changes.
Have a nice trip:thumbsup2

Well, I did eat at 3 of these 4 restaurants in the past week.

For CG - I don't remember if the Choc. cake was on the menu, I had a dessert with Strawberries done 3 ways. The beef filet was with Teriyaki BBQ Sauce. I don't recall the gnocci, but that doesn't mean it wasn't on the menu.

For Citricos - The Halibut that was on the menu was with heirloom tomotoes in a tomato water sauce. I remember that one, because I had it ( I don't like asparagus so I wouldn't have had that! ) . Oh, I thought I would add that I did also have the halibut at Jiko last week, and it was AWESOME! Probably my favorite dish all week. I don't recall how the pork tenderloin was prepared.

For R & C - I don't recall a chicken pastry being offered as an entree, I do remember that they had a chicken breast offered.

Sorry, if I couldn't be of more help, but I hope that helps you a little. :goodvibes

We ate at California Grill a few weeks ago (7/26 to be exact) There's a chocolate temptation dessert but it was sugar-free. Don't be fool by the sugar free dessert. It was extremely yummy..
