Have you?

I am leaving in 11 days and I was doing a final check of menus after hearing about price increases. I also discovered that items we planned to order had been eliminated, new “Plant Based” items had been added and some other entree’s and apps were added as a Wonderfall option.

Apparently, A5 Wagu beef is only available at Morimoto now. We were going to order it at Yachtsman for a special night. We changed our reservation to Morimoto.

Our pre-party BOG dinner appetizer choices both “Magically” disappeared and one of our entrees was replaced. We checked all options and decided to keep the reservation. Oddly, no price change just cheaper food. DH still likes the atmosphere better than other MK options.

We didn’t change any other ADRs but I am mentally exhausted by all the changes since I started planning so long ago. It’s eleven days and I’m still having lengthy conversations with poor DH about his preferences as these occur.

Please check updated menus and prices for TS as well as QS and snacks if you were counting on anything in particular.

Logged in to discover that the Lion King Prix Fixe has disappeared from Jiko and now we're wondering what to do in its place. Haven't changed anything to our ADRs yet, looking through it looks like a couple of items we wanted to select has disappeared. Probably going to keep our ADRs, we are only 2 weeks out and I do not want to stress over ADRs anymore. Had I known that these changes would take place I wouldn't stress over the meal selections as much.

Have to recalculate the costs of our meals again as we're going to pay OOP for these meals.

Exactly @Mimco, there was a combo at Jaleo no longer available and once upon a time we had French onion soup on several menus, we now have it nowhere.

Ugh... My favorite part of the BOG dinner was the french onion soup, and now it's gone from the menu!

Yep. I'm still kinda mad about the pork dish disappearing. (Not to mention the surf and surf burger over at AoA.) :(

Looked at our ADRs and a few changes, but nothing major for us.
Still looking forward to our choices.

We have plans for BOG pre-party as well was looking forward to the French onion soup. Still going to keep our BOG reservation (those are super hard to come by) and just hope we can order off-menu or something.

Thanks for the head's up on changes! On the one hand, I like that the menus change and they keep things "fresh." But you're right, when you plan 6 months ahead and/or have been dreaming of a specific dish, these changes can be really disappointing.

One more reason for not having the ADR day at 180! I'm waiting until park hours are finalized for our dates (probably Friday!) then I'm planning to review everything. Don't want to bother yet since we have a few ADRs that we may cancel if the hours change. As a pescatarian with other dietary needs I have to take into account, I often only have 1 or 2 things on the menu that I can order. The few menus I've checked recently had changes I didn't like, too. (But it's not all negative. I also noticed a few restaurants that used to have no good vegetarian options and now have some that sound great.)

The caprese sandwich at backlot express is gone! First it was dropped from sci-fi and now backlot...it was my favorite entree at all of WDW. Looks like a hummus dish has replaced it. Good for those who like hummus I guess...

If you can I would keep Jiko! It was one of 2 signatures we hadn't yet eaten at and tried it for the first time last month-amazing

I don't know why they haven't updated it in the app yet when your looking at restaurant menus. For example be our guest still has french onion on it.

Does anyone know if there is a consolidated list somewhere of where prices have increased?
I've heard chef mickey had increased, but i dont see evidence of this?
Wondering if it might end up worth us tacking on a DDP depending on the significance of the increases.......

I try never to select a restaurant on the strength of a specific or single choice. Menus change in restaurants all of the time regardless of where they are so I try to select them based on the idea that they have to have either a range of items I'd like or they have a cuisine I like in general. That takes away the need to review after booking for me.

I will review restaurants in between visits and check out the menus to see if there is a range of items I'd like and if they change over time. I typically find that, those at X point in time which I don't care for will probably not be ones I care for at Y point in time because they are offering either a cuisine that minimally appeals to me or have a particular style or philosophy that doesn't appeal or allow for the range of options that I want. They are consistently just not to my taste overall so I simply don't put them on our list. DH keeps wanting to try Flying Fish or Narcoosees but I'm allergic to seafood and every time I check out the menus, there is literally one thing I can eat. That's just not good enough for me.
