Menu Changes at Chefs too?

Just found out no steak at WGP now I here the Menu has changed at Chefs de France too?

Anybody have the new Chefs Menu?

Hmmm we are arriving Oct. 12th - will this be the case then too do you think? We're paying for the DDP.

If so - then I may just cancel my DDP as what will be the point in having it if the best stuff isn't available.

yeah, some of the more expensive items mysteriously disappeared from menus during the free dining period as I recall.

Oh dear...we have WGP and Chef's too, and even though I know menus are subject to change, I showed the menus (at the time) to one of my diner's who said he'd be ok with what was listed, but the things he liked are now gone!

At least at EPCOT we'll be walking past Chefs de France several days before our ADR and we can look at the menu and see if we can find items we all like. But that might be too late to get new ressies.

Hopefully we'll see the new Chef's menu posted soon and I can decide whether I need to change our ADRs or not.

As I recall from last year, they return eventually after free dining.

Some restaurants may be a bit slower than others.
You should be fine.

I'm only eating at Signatures, except a lunch at Coral Reef though since F&W events are taking up 4 of my days.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Last summer, everyone whined about the most expensive things being removed from menus due to the Free DDP (because Disney is EVIL like that! ), but DH and I didn't have any trouble racking up $140 bills for the two of us. We found filet mignon and other delicious and pricey items at every restaurant we went to.

I guess I'm pretty easy to please -- free food at Disney is awesome no matter how you look at it.

Exactly...my dinner at Chefs is planned for my trip this weekend and my dining plan was NOT FREE.

Drat! I made my ADR's months ago based on the menus, and now our first two nights the menus have changed! Hope none of our other choices follow suit.. .

Ok, now let me ask you all something. Have anyone confirmed any of this? It seems to me that this is all hearsay. I was in the world last year during free dining and didn't see any major changes in the menus of the places that I dined at. There was another thread posted that said Narcoossees took the whole lobster entree off their menu. After about a dozen postings about how it MIGHT and WHY it is off the plan, one of the posters had confirmed with the restaurant manager himself on the phone that NOTHING has been changed on their menu.

So until someone has hard evidence that Chefs took off the Steak au Poivre, (that is the entree in question by the way), I will go by the menu on Allearsnet until I see an update.

No steak, but the duck is back...which is what I'll probably order

I think the new menu looks great! I think you can have too much steak, I'd rather be a bit more adventurous. The duck sounds good!

Hey, I'd planned to order the steak too, but the new menu looks pretty good. About two years ago I made an ADR for Chefs just for the duck and about two weeks before our trip it was removed from the menu, so I cancelled my ADR. I won't make that mistake again. I'm sure we can find something on the new menu.
