I never liked the sockless look for guys, such as with boat shoes or sneakers.
It's only acceptable with sandals or flip flops.

I rarely wear shoes unless I have to go out in the cold, and then it's usually Vans slip ons without socks. If I'm snow-blowing the driveway I'll wear socks with boots.
If you look like a professional model you can wear just about anything, for mere mortals I'd have to vote no.
Fortunately DH deigns to wear regular gym socks with his runners, golf shoes and boat shoes instead of the
crazy ones he wears with everything else.
I can't get over the tight fitting suits jackets and skinny "dress" pants. IMO when I see that it's bad enough that the socks or no socks doesn't even hit my radar.
Shoes are awful, I agree. Vans are a choice I forget about, but quite like
I'm talking about this type of look:

I see it around and it looks great or terrible, so I wondering about experiences outside of the hipsters I see. I also see it paired with shorts and some men can pull it off; just not sure most men can![]()

Brian - why not? I converted my DH this summer, as he does not do well in the heat and apparently thought all flip flops were foam pieces of crap. I learned him real good.
Love this!! I, too, converted my dh about 8 yrs. ago when I dragged him to a nice shoe store to at least 'try' a nice leather pair. Now! He wears them ALL summer!! Doesn't know how he lived without them!![]()
