Am I imagining it or is this "Northern Exposure" redone? No offense intended, I loved northern exposure, and there is no way to tell yet if this will be that good, but it sure looks eerily familiar.

Is John Corbett in it?

He doesn't know it, but he is my boyfriend. (I cheat, you know)

No, that would have been perfect though. Ann heche is the star.
There are "quirky" characters also. And a citified out-of-their-element character (Heche). And a radio station. And the set looks kinda similar.

Too funny :rotfl: ! I only caught about 5 minutes of this show tonight, and I thought the exact same thing!! Set in AK, a pilot, a fish-out-of-water non Alaskan, and quirky characters- sounds suspiciously like Northern Exposure to me.

I told DH the same thing about Northern Exposure!! :rotfl2: I agree it may not last, Kathy!

Good I'm not going crazy yet! I thought the same thing about it seeming a whole heck of a lot like Northern Exposure.

Also do not see it lasting very long.

I really liked Northern exposure but I wasn't thrilled with Men in Trees. I'll try it a couple more weeks and see.

I caught a little bit of it last night. Seemed way too familiar (ala Northern Exposure), and the storyline was very predictable. I'd be surprised if it lasts.

Sammy

PS. I loved John Corbett in NE and also in Sex in the City....

Snakes on Men???

I guess I'm in the minority here, because I really liked it.

But I never watched "Northern Exposure" so I can't compare.

I like Anne Heche, I like the scenery (especially when she was riding the bike and stopped and looked at the mountains), I like the other characters, and I loved the scenes with the raccoon. I'll keep watching it, for as long as it lasts anyway.

when I saw the commercial I immediately thought "Northern Exposure" - which I loved (at least in the beginning, not so much toward the end).....I will give this a couple episodes before I decide......

Me too! I liked it and found the whole evening to be a good one. First, Dancing with the Stars and then Men In Trees. It was, for once in a very long time, a pretty entertaining evening on TV. Usually, if there's nothing on worth watching, I just read or even go to bed early, but last night was entertaining!
