Memory maker

We are going to Disney in December but we are up in the air about memory maker. Was wondering if anyone that has gone recently to Disney World and has pros and cons With Getting memory maker. Are there lots of photographers? Is it worth it? Thanks!

I did (Trip October 30-November 6). We shouldn't have done it. We did get some get shots (HS and AK in particular) as a family but our own cellphones were better. The ride shots were so-so. Splash Mtn. we got someone else's picture one time and another time we didn't get it because the other person in the front of of boat someone's mask fell down.

We almost always get it and use it for character meet and greets.

We also had 6 adults so we had plenty of people to take smaller group shots. If there was only a few adults or everyone wanted to be in all the shots, definitely get it.

We had a wonderful time but it wasn't worth it for us this time.

We just got back a week ago. We really enjoyed having the memory maker. Yes we were always in face masks but felt like it was a fitting memory for this year. There were a lot of photographers out and we just picked them up when there was barely a wait if at all. In 8 days we left with close to 200 pics between the rides and the photographers. I don't know if December crowds will be similar to ours though so I can only talk to our experience vs what you may have.

We are here now and got it. It’s only me and ds (4) so it was the only was to get shots of both of us. There are plenty of photogs around. I wish ds was more cooperative so I could stop at every one!

Wondering the same! Can you buy individual pictures at WDW or decide that you want to buy it once you have already taken pictures?

Do the restaurants with distanced characters (ex: GG) have photographers? Or are those all gone too?

Just got back recently and loved it. Got many ride pics/videos and amazing night time pics at galaxy’s edge. We encountered many interactive and creative photographers... more so than previous years and we still had great experiences in previous years. Word of caution though: if another person in your boat does not have mask fully on, your picture won’t be processed. This was disappointing that we didn’t get our PoC pic because a person from another party on our boat was wearing his mask well under his nose. I understand why they couldn’t process it but frustrating that we were being safe/following rules and some stranger screwed it up. Thank goodness it only happened that one time.

We got it for our trip in Oct and loved it. We always stopped when we saw photographers and always asked about Magic Shots (habit, do I really need to ask or do they do them automatically?). We have so many good family photos we wouldn’t have had otherwise as this is not the year to approach a stranger to ask them to take a pic with our camera.
