Trying to decide if it is worth it for our family of four trip in August 2 adults and 2 kids (5 &3). Thoughts?

It seems most "worth it" if you will
--participate in Jedi Training, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and/or Pirate Training (in MK, I forget the exact name)
--take lots of ride photos (less likely with the ages of your kids)
--do lots of character greetings (it's perfect for this, since Mom & Dad can put away their cameras and just enjoy the interaction)
--stop frequently for family shots in the parks

When we went in August, we did all of the above, and it was definitely worth it! We ended up with over 400 pictures in our account.

would you be in line anyways for characters? if you would, then possibly. If you get a photo from photopass printed it is about $15, atleast last time a couple years ago when i was there. Atleast you can download them all and print them yourself. you get the copyrights. i'm trying to decide the same thing for us. it would save the hassle of asking them to use our own camera, not too big of a hassle but it would make it easier. we always get a few pics in Main St. for us staying 9 days, at $169 advanced purchase, makes it seem somewhat like a good deal. the video portion of the mine train ride sounds good!

well one instance was DH didnt use his FP+ like I did with DD2 to go meet Ariel. we were running a tad late and had to hurry up after DD's Brainstormer meltdown. We get in there and i realize i left the good camera with DH. I couldn't go back out and get it and we only had the video cam which takes terrible pictures. So that experience seems forgotten since we didnt have a nice picture to print out. We didn't want to pay $15 for a photopass photo so we just didnt get any. So in that instance, we would have had lots of photopass quality photos. Ariel is DD2's favorite too.

For us it all depends on how long we will be there. If we are only going for 3-4 days, then no, but if we are going for a week then for us it is worth it.

I am on the fence too but I know if we don't buy it, I won't be in any of the pictures. Not such a big deal to me but it might be to my girls when they get older.

Thanks everyone! Leaning towards yes as in the grand scheme whats another $150. We are going for 6 park days- doing all the character dining, including Akershus and CRT were they take the pics as you enter. Last time we went my sister and her family were with us so we have tons of family shots because we would take their pic and they would take ours- made it easy. This time I am just concerned with it being easier that we have family shots every where. However, I will still have my own camera but I was thinking getting memory maker will make me feel less worried about making sure I get the shots.
