Memory Maker

It would appear that Memory Maker is a bit different to what I purchased last year, the photo pass with a disc.

Do you still carry a card around with you, like I did last year to get all the ride photos etc?

Because there are 6 of us but my eldest son and his girlfriend are going to different parks to us each day, can we all use the same memory maker, and if so how does that work?

When you download the photos, do you still get to put different boarders on them etc and is downloading them straightforward?

Sorry for so many questions, I got my head around it last year and now its all changed, is the change for the better?

You can use the traditional PhotoPass cards, but if you have Magic Bands it's easier to simply scan those.

If you're staying at a Disney resort, anyone on your room reservation will automatically be linked to your Memory Maker account. They simply need to scan their Magic Bands.

With Magic Bands on, ride photos should automatically link to your account without having to scan anything. There are scanners in the rides to pick up the bands automatically.

If you don't have Magic Bands, have them pick up their own PhotoPass card from the first photographer they encounter. You'll then need to link that card to your PhotoPass account.

Yes, you can still add borders and stickers. What's different from the old PhotoPass Disc is that you can start downloading your photos individually as soon as they appear in your account. You don't need to wait for the end of your trip to download everything in a single batch. (You can still do this big batch download, but if there are any photos you want to share earlier, you can pull them whenever you like.)

Because I have had to book my son and his girlfriend last minute we are staying at different resorts, both in Disney.
At the moment his reservation is showing on my disney experience and so are their two magic bands. However we have now run into a problem, because when I sent him the invite to my disney experience he opened his own account, he then linked the 14 day ultimate tickets onto his account and his magic band and passes have linked, but his girlfriends haven't. so the fast passes his booked in theory are not linking to her magic band.
So tomorrow I will phone to get the magic band and passes linked. Am I right in thinking that as long as the magic bands and the reservation are showing on my disney experience as well as in his disney experience we should be able to get all the photos from all our bands onto the memory maker I am going to purchase and link to my disney experience?

I do hope that all makes sense.

I assume you have already added the girlfriend to your MDE? If so all he needs to do is set up his family and friends by requesting her as a friend using the from a list of people I may know option.

Once added make sure the settings for everyone are view and share all.

However if he has already added her as well you will probably need to call as she is then effectively on MDE twice.
