If the only person in the group with an AP is a child, will Memory Maker still work, or does it have to be an adult AP holder?

Good to know this is the case with Memory Maker...not the case with room discounts, where the AP holder must be 18+

yep, there are no child APs. The issue with the resort is that the main person on the resort reservation must be 18 or older, so a child doesnt' qualify.

I've always been confused by the notion that there are no child APs...since APs do carry the designation of either 3-9 years old or 10+, though I get that they cost the same.

In the past, the child AP didn't require the finger scan. Not sure if that's still the case.

Not sure if they addressed the issue, but in the beginning, the AP holder had to use their own MDE account to download photos. So, if the child is listed as one of the profiles that you manage under your account, you won't be able to download the photos. You may need to create an account for the child.

And, to be clear, it's not "Memory Maker." It's "unlimited photopass downloads." Memory Maker is a product you purchase separately. While most people think they're equivalent, the AP benefit is actually more robust than the product.

My three year old with an AP required a finger scan, but I used/use my finger instead of his (and that has seemed perfectly fine/normal with every cast member).

My DS10 has an AP, but my DH and I do not for a variety of reasons. With DS's AP (which he has had since he was 9), I've found that, yes, I can download the photopass photos through my MDE account (DS does not have a separate account) and he is usually offered AP discounts even if I'm paying (this is at the discretion of CM's and definitely not something I expect nor ask for resort wide). We cannot make AP room discount reservations nor could we buy party tickets (MNSSHP and MVMCP) with an AP discount using his AP.
