Memory Maker sharing question

Back in the day, if you knew another family going to Disney about the same time as you (within the same 30 days), you can split the cost of a PhotoPass or Photopass+ account by just adding in the PhotoPass card number into a mutual account. It was a great way to save money at Walt Disney World. Now it appears the Photopass photographers simply use your MagicBand rather than cards, if you are staying onsite like we will be doing.

Can two families split the cost of Memory Maker and have all the MagicBands add photos to a joint account?

If not, can we do it the old fashioned way, where we act like off site guests without MagicBands and just request Photopass cards?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Answered my own question through research. If anyone else was curious ...

"Sharing with Friends

With PhotoPass+, it was extremely easy for extended family and friends to split the cost of the disc and have everyone’s images included. Everyone had their cards, entered their numbers and that was that. With Memory Maker, everything is linked through MyDisneyExperience. Being there for just over two weeks and having coinciding vacation dates with a few friends’ families, we wanted to be able to share Memory Maker. In order to do this, each person must be linked via MyDisneyExperience. This can be done by sending email requests via the app or web site. Once you’re linked, everyone’s images will show up in each others’ accounts. The guest who purchased Memory Maker will be able to download all images that show in his/her account."

Having just done this with my brother-in-law, a few quick notes:

* All edits (borders, stickers, cropping, etc.) must be done in the account of the person who has the Memory Maker entitlement. Any edits done in the other accounts won't be able to be downloaded.
* Check that all the pictures actually did share properly. We had a few Expedition Everest pictures that showed up in their account but never shared with mine. I had to request a lost photo search and they did get the pic (also used a screen shot from the other account to aid in searching). But don't assume they all transferred.
* While you can do as many downloads as you want in 30 days (clock starts from when you first click "download"), realize that downloading individual images is a big pain. Try to get as many edits done as possible and do a "download all". You can certainly do more later or do a second "download all" but just don't do the bulk of them individually. I speak from experience.

Great tips. Thank you.
