memory maker questions

Hi, we chose memory maker and this is our first trip. Can you please tell me how it works? Do we seek someone out to take a picture? Where are the pictures taken? Any information is appreciated. thanks.

You can get your pictures taken by photopass photographers in several places in each park. They are super easy to spot. When you see one not taking a picture, just ask if they could please take your picture for you. You can also wait close by if they are in the middle of taking a picture of someone else. With memory maker, you also get all of the ride photos linked to your account as well as character meet and greets. After the photographer has taken the pictures, they will just scan your magic band. We always have tons of pictures.

thanks. i was hoping it was good for things like the christmas party too. do you know if it is? Also, when you say rides, are pictures taken at different points in a ride automatically?

I am unsure about MM also. Do the photographers take MM photos during all character interactions including buffet meals?

The pictures are taken at one point on the ride. I think the only exception is like the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Tower of Terror where you get a short video as well. I have gotten pictures taken at the Halloween and Christmas parties before, but that was when it was photopass and not memory maker (years ago), so I am unsure if there is anything special picture wise at those times except maybe magic shots (where they digitally put a character in the shot with you).

I am not sure if all character meals have photographers for memory maker.

Character meals do not have a photographer during the meal as the characters come to visit at your table. You use your own camera for these interactions. Some meals do have a posed photo opportunity outside before you are seated (Cinderella at CRT, Belle at Akershus, I think Donald at Tusker House, a Chef Mickey Statue at Chef Mickey) these will have a photographer and be included on your memory maker.

At character meet and greets (in the parks, where you wait in a line to meet them) there is almost always a photographer who snaps away while you visit with the character, in addition to waiting for you to pose for a shot.

If you participate in Enchanted Tales with Belle, Jedi Training Academy, Pirates League or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique the photographers take lots of pictures during these that are all included on MM.

We just came back from a 7 day trip with 5 days in the parks. We had 288 photos of me, DH and DD4. We went to Enchanted Tales with Belle, which included about 75 photos. We got a video of our ride on Mine Train, we got a photo from Test Track and Buzz Lightyear. Every Meet & Greet we went to had a photographer. We tried to stop at every photographer we saw without a line in each park. We were pleased with the photos and magic shots that we received. It was worth every penny for me to be in some of the photos for our family trip! There are plenty of opportunities to have photos taken.

The waterparks and tomorrowland dessert party had a photographer last year. Nearly everything we took at HS had a frozen character in it.

It's actually valid for 30 days from the first day you download a picture, so if you had a long trip or two very close together, they' dal be included.

The exception to this is Ohana's was there in Feb and a picture of Stitch was taken at the table during breakfast.
