Memory Maker question?

I called Disney this afternoon to upgrade our hotel from ASM to Port Orleans Riverside, the CM asked me if I was celebrating anything and I told him being in remission. He then said well you have the memory maker package and I said well I dont want any discounts or specials applied to the package due to the fact that we are coming down during the time they usually offer free dining and in the event they do we would like to apply that and didnt want any other offers to effect not being able to get this. He then told me the memory maker was free and to enjoy and it wouldnt affect the free dining if they have it I cant still apply it. Was I given pixie dust or has anyone else gotten this?
