I need to do our pre-order soon as our trip is fast approaching for May. I'm confused though. On our past trips we've always pre-ordered the CD for $99. It looks like the Memory Maker is $150 if you pre-order and there is no CD, you download the pictures - fine. I've searched the forums here and have read posters say about the pre-order for $99 or $120 but all I see is the $150 on the memory maker page. Am I missing something, or can you only pre-order for $150? Thanks!

it is now 150$ and includes all ride and meal photos. it is 200$ at the park. Also no cd. you download the pics. If you want a cd you can order it for an extra 30$

Yep, they raised the price. It's $200 if you buy it at Disney World, $150 up to I think three days before.

If it makes you feel better, when I last went (in 2012), it was $199 in the parks... and $169 was the discounted price if you bought it in advance. So while it's more than you're remembering, with the discount, it's less than it was a year and a half ago! :)

thank you. Our last trip was May 2013 and it was $99 then. I've never paid more than that. In fact, one trip I think I managed to get one for $80 because there was a 20% discount floating around.

I changed my discount and got it free on top of the same % off my room with my annual pass...
I guess they need to make up the money that we are saving.

You CAN prepuchase only the CD (or Archive Disc) for $119. Personally, I think the $30 more for the Memories package is worth it. We love ride photos!

Thanks I'll have to decide which one is best for us.

The disc was 119 in May 2013. The last disc price raise was in 2012.

But you can still buy photos individually, right? Without having to pre-purchase?

Yes. The cost for individual photos adds up quickly. The last time I checked, individual photo downloads were $15.

I waited too long to order this to have it shipped before we leave (the memory maker card) can we get it at will call, and only use the memory maker card for ride photos & meals, but get the "old" photopass cards from photographers and add them online the old way, or can you only use one memory maker card? We are off site so no magic bands.

$99 was for just PP
$150 was for PP+

Memory Maker is basically the same as PP+ sans the CD/Stock Photos.

I believe all photos can be uploaded to your MDE account also.

So, I would be paying $150 to only view my photos? Or can I download them to my computer and it only costs $15 to have a printed copy? I'm confused and trying to decide if this is worth it.

You get digital downloads of all your photos for the $149 price. You can then have them printed wherever you'd like.

No the $150 gives you the right to download them and print them as you wish. :), you can have them printed anywhere you choose. Last year we did the Photopass which was $120 or $130ish and downloaded the pics instead of getting the CD. It was nice we had 300 photos or so. I then used them to make my own photo books from snapfish and have used the files to print pictures to frame, etc. The memory maker includes ride photos and meal photos, which the old photopass did not. To me it's worth depends on how long your stay is (the longer you are there the more opportunities for photos), how many times you will want to stop and get a picture with the photopass photographers, and what you think you will do with the photos once you get home. We have long stays, stop at nearly every photographer we see, and do lots with the pics so it's worth it to us!

No. You pay $150 (in advance) and you can download all of them.

If you don't want to pay $150 for the memory maker, you can download individual pictures, but they cost $15 each.

A related question ....
We are going in June for a family trip.
Family 1: My mother and father
Family 2: Myself, DH, DD, DS
Family 3: My sister, BIL, 2 nieces.
Our reservations are linked.
Can we share the Memory Maker? Or does each family need to buy its own? Is it linked to your MB?

If you are all linked on MDE, you can share the MM purchase. However, you (or whoever you designate as primary) are the only one who can download the photos. But the way we got around that was that my mom and SIL signed in under my account and downloaded from there.

Photogs still give out the "old" pp cards. So yes, you can add as many cards to your pp account as you want. If you don't have magic bands, then I think you will need the card from will call.
