Memory Maker - issue or not?

I pre-purchased Memory Maker.

I am linked to my sister and BIL on MDE as friends and family.

They arrived at WDW today. We arrive Monday.

They took some photos today before I activated Memory Maker. After activating, I can see the photos they took without watermarks. The same photos appear to them with the watermarks still.

1. Are they seeing watermarks because I activated Memory Maker after they took these photos?
Or ...
2. Does only the Memory Maker "owner" see the unwatermarked images through that account?
Or...
3. Is it something else?

Before I call tech support, thought I'd check here.

We have that issue every trip. We have been told only 1 account can access the non watermarked photos. What we do is the main person shares their my Disney experience account information. That way everyone can save the pictures they want to their own device. We trust each other enough to know that no one is using it for vicious purposes. This way the main account holder isn't in charge of sending everyone the pictures they want. I know it's not the best idea for everyone but it's the best way for everyone to get the pictures they want on their own device especially if you all split the cost of memory maker. You can always change the password after the pictures have expired.
