Memory Maker is worthy during Covid

Is the memory maker worthy during Covid time? Are there many photographers and spot for photo? How are the lines for the photos?

We were there end of Oct and had plenty of photographers. Lines sometimes (front of castle at night, in front of Millennium Falcon), but most of the times walk ups. Pretty much every time we saw a photographer, we stopped for pics. We loved having lots of family pics with everyone in them and especially with COVID would not have felt comfortable asking others to take our whole family pictures.

The one issue we had was ride photos. Rarely did we see functioning Magic Band touchpoints at ride exits, so we kept a list going and just emailed them when we were home. They were able to recover all but one, which I was really impressed with.

Can you explain what you mean by kept a list and emailed later. We have memory maker for the first time in Jan, and have never used it. If the magicband sensor is down after a ride, what steps should I take to recover the pictures?

I think it comes down to whether you want to pay for pictures with your masks on. For me, nope! I wouldn't pay that kind of money to get pics with masks on.

Is it possible to go to the Photo Store on Main Street to use your magic band on their scanner to look at your photos ? I think it would be worthwhile to purchase their cheapest package 1- 8x10 with 2 3x5
They will insert it into a holiday design folder and insert a special Holiday Picture of holiday castle professionally captured , gift with purchase. Usually this is only during Special Event parties.
I just missed the special Halloween with the Hitchhiking Ghosts and Headless Horseman. I guarantee I won’t forget next year!
In the past I have received the Castle icicle design and Mickey& Minnie w/ gifts under the tree and last year on the final night in DS location the castmember gifted me with all the Trees from each theme park because he could tell I loved the holidays and Disney... I
I even have a rare one with Santa on DL MainStreet in his sleigh filled with toys... once upon a time Santa and his sleigh greeted families for photo on the Original Main Street ...


I also talked to them about hiring a special photographer for marriage proposal in front of Castle.He said they were about to announce a special package (example only : 20 minutes for $50 perhaps more.)

Moral of story Explore and ask questions and be kind. Especially at Disney

When we went in September, the photographers were not taking anyone’s phone to take a photo with it. Normally they will, but I guess it is one of the new Covid rules that they won’t at This point.

We decided just to buy one day and it was cheaper.
We did not make the decision till we got home and looked at the photos.
