Memory Maker help

This is great info!! I am so interested in this... quick question what is the feedback on joining a "shared account" I have read on other sites that you can share this experience and split the cost? Any feedback? Concerns?

Do they still have photographers around the water parks as well? We got so many action shots in 2011 when we went (I swear I came home with a dozen or more of those wristband cards!) and I'm hoping the same will be true for our upcoming visit

reading more of the thread there seem to be some confusion on how to use the bands to get your photos...

You use a magicband or your hard ticket to claim your photo.
- In the event something happens and you don't have either, you can ask for a photopass card which all photographers (and the CM at the end of the ride near the screens) can give you.
- You just link that card # to your account when you have a moment and the photos will appear.
- Some parties and events have printable tickets and you have neither, this is a good time to get a photopass card. If you select will call and stop to get the ticket that card (aka hard ticket) will work for photopass and it's the same as a normal day ticket for photo claiming.

For rides:
- if you are using a hard ticket, you must go up to the screens after the ride and use your ticket to claim the photo by tapping it against the screen.
- if your all in the same MDE account or have your MDE accounts linked together, only 1 person needs to scan if using a card.
- MagicBands all rides automatically claim your photo and nothing special to do.
- There are a couple videos that do not have these screens at the end (seven dwarves mine train is an example) and you must have a magicband for those photos.
- A couple rides (7dmt and tower of terror for example) have videos of your riding them, those already require a magicband.
- If your anxious that some photos might not get automatically linked, you can scan at the end of the ride with your magicband to ensure it's claimed for you.
- If you dont see a photo on the screens, the photos are moderated and check with a CM what happened to the photo. If something went wrong or they can't allow you to have the photo they will let you ride again with no wait to get another photo on the ride. If someone in your group did something obscene or non-disney like and that's the reason, they may not allow them to ride again (aka don't do something obscene for the photo to get a second no wait ride, you wont' right on and have to wait in line again).
- Photos appear in the MDE app fairly quick if you want to verify after a ride and not use the screens or if the ride doesn't have screens.

For photographers:
- Take your pictures, they will scan your card or band (or give you a card if needed and scan that) for everyone that wants the photos.
- if your all in the same MDE account or have your MDE accounts linked together, only 1 person needs to scan

For photobooths (not many and they move, sorry can't tell you where they are today but check around arcades, boardwalk resort and keep your eyes opened):
- scan your band/card and take your photo. (there is instructions in case this changes on the booths)
- some might be able to accept money, this is for immediate prints and money is not required to take your photo.

They were able to find my lost photo. Thank you so much for the info! I wouldn't have thought it possible.

How long are the photos available? We lost a lot of photos from our visit from 2012 due to a hard drive failure. Went to check last year if they were still available on photo pass and they were not.

if your an ap holder, the length of your AP. Otherwise disney says 45 days from the date it was taken. I happened to get some old pics back when I upgraded to ap and they reappeared in my account but not something that far back...

I've been meaning to ask them for pictures from 2 trips in 2014 that were lost because I became ill and nobody remembered to download them. This is one place that disney could immediately upsell me for stupid amounts of money. There is no way to replace them except if disney happens to have them...

If we purchased the "advanced purchase" MM a while ago, do we have to activate it online/via phone somehow? Or does the photos automatically get uploaded when the first photos are taken in the park?

all photographers, ride photos and photobooths are free to use with or without memory maker. Just go up and take pictures, use your magic band or card to claim them.

Now to get them you have to pay and memory maker is 1 option of payment to get the photos. when your ready to download them, just go onto the website and that is where you'll activate your memory maker package. the pictures last 45 days from the date taken so don't wait too long. Also once you activate memory maker, you can download all the photos that haven't expired for 30 days.

search youtube for memory maker and you'll find some videos (including official ones) on how to download them.
