Memory Maker Help...

Hi Everybody!

Only 18 days away from our Disney vacation! I'm on the WDW website trying to advance purchase the memory maker package, and I'm confused. It's asking me for a delivery method. I thought I was just purchasing the package that will be tied into my account after showing the photogs our tickets. What is there to pick up at will call or have delivered? I don't want to pick will call and then I'm not actually in Orlando to pick something up. Can anyone tell me the process of going through with this purchase? Thanks!!

Hm. I'm not entirely certain what needs to be picked up, especially as Memory Maker is now linked through your Magic Bands.

Since nobody who knows more has chimed in, I'd suggest calling Disney (407) 939-5277 to add on your Memory Maker - and asking them. This way, you get the answer right from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

Buy through website - get memory maker card at will call.

Buy through Disney reservation center - it's attached to the reservation no card needed.

When you buy through the website it should automatically link to your MDE account. You still need to go to will call though to get your card (which you don't need if you plan on using your magic band).

They send you the MM card which you don't even need if you have Magic Bands. We were there the last 2 weeks and MM was great especially having 4 daughters which meant lots of character and princess greets. We also stopped whenever we saw someone to get family pictures. We had over 300 pics in the end.

I never got the actual card out of my wallet the entire trip. Magic Bands worked 98% flawlessly. The 2% of the time it didn't work was the one time I let my daughter scan her band and those pics never showed up. We were careful to just use my band just to be safe. Pics were in our account every evening by the time we'd returned to the hotel.

Not true. You still need to link it up. You can either do so with the confirmation number or the card number but it is a step that does need to be done.

Yes, left that part out ... you do need to link the number on the card to your MDE account and then you either use the card for your memory maker pics or you use your magic bands which the card should now be linked to.

Just ordered it on Friday and it automatically linked. I didn't do anything other than pay and print the paperwork. It is my understanding that I will need to link the number on the card I pick up from will call.

I guess what I should have said is that the confirmation number automatically linked.

Yes we picked up card on first day then headed to a place with the iPads and a CM and they helped us link out MM to our MB. We can do it yourself on the app but we had a glitch which wouldn't let us (hence why we needed a CM to help) the whole process of picking up the card and linking it took no more than 10 mins. The MB with MM was awesome very easy for pictures never had to rummage to find card. Great system we had 200 pics after the week. (Would have more if we had better weather)

So if I have MM linked to my MB and we get the card could someone else in my group then ride something without me and get the photo added to our family's MM account using the card? This could be a nice bonus for my wedding trip with my family of 11...

My understanding is that you link MM to one person's magic band and only that person's band will work to get photos. Other members of your party would need to scan the card if your party separates.

When I called to ask questions I thought he said that as long as they are on my MDE acct and they show up they can use their bands to take pics. I am the only one who can download them though.

I just ordered on the phone yesterday while doing something else. They said everyone on my reservation can add pictures, but only I can download, which seems consistent with PP.

Can you have anything printed at the parks? Like the old photopass or do you have to download and print everything yourself?

You can still purchase prints at the parks. You can also order prints online.

I will be going to HHD on a night that I haven't checked in to Disney yet and will not be going to the parks to do the will call on the MM card - how can I get the pictures from HHD added to my MM? Can you get the will call card at any resort like you could the PP card? Or does it have to be at the parks?
