Memory Maker for previously linked guests

We went to WDW in 2019 with friends, and our MDE's were linked then. We have a trip coming up in November, and our friends will be going with their family this week. I bought the Memory Maker for our trip, and I just went to link our park tickets in MDE and saw that all of their trip plans are showing on my MDE. Is it possible that if they used their magic band for pictures that my Memory Maker will be activated?

Memory Maker is activated by downloading a photo. So as long as you don’t download any of the photos of their trip (at least not until your trip starts), you should be good.

You can also ask them to mark their MDE not to share photos with you.
