Memory Maker for One?

As I noted in my other post, I will be doing a solo trip (my first one) in December for 9 days. I am strongly considering getting Memory Maker for the rides, MVMCP, charter meet and greets and O'hana if I am able to get a reservation for one. For you solo travelers who have purchased Memory Maker, did you find you used it enough to make the purchase worth it or did going solo result in avoiding photo opportunities?

I did MM in 2014 (and the old prepaid PhotoPass CD before that). "Worthwhile" is tough to judge, but while I could probably live without it, I will probably end up getting it again this year. I like doing lots of M&G, and while the CM/handlers have been awesome about taking pics with my camera or phone, it's just nice to have two people snapping pics at once. I've gotten some of the magic shots, and the new "animated" magic shots and ride videos (like 7DMT) are nudging me toward doing MM again. I think when I have MM, I seek out more photo ops in front of the various park landmarks that I wouldn't otherwise think about.

At the end of the day, I figure this is my big vacation, it's not as if I'm not spending plenty of money already, might as well spring for MM.

I think I am going to do it. I love taking pictures, but if I am going to go solo, I am going to do a digital scrapbook when I get home and somebody needs to see I was there. LOL

I did my first Solo trip in September, and opted to try out Memory Maker... I decided that I didn't like the idea of my entire vacation photo album being made-up of nothing but selfies. Honestly, it was an excellent decision for me! I got AMAZING photos from my trip, and couldn't be more thrilled. Out of nearly 200 photos, once I narrowed it down and got rid of the ones I didn't like, I still had 89 keepers. If you consider buying them individually I believe is around $12 or so and up, that's a value of over $1,000! Not to mention those fabulous ride videos! I've already booked my next trip (also in early December!) and have Memory Maker included in my package again. Just be sure to be conscious to stop at all the Photopass photogs you run across, and keep on getting the most out of it!

For a 9 day trip, I would definitely get the Memory Maker. We just did a 5 day trip and did not bother with it, just handed our camera to the photographer to get the two of us together in some shots.
There are lots of seasonal opportunities for photos in December! Have a great trip!

I take A LOT of scenery pictures. It would not be a bunch of selfies for me. Maybe a few pages with characters and such, but the bulk of the photobook would be my picture taking.

I am looking forward to someone taking pics of me. I came late to the Selfies party and take horrible pictures of myself. So I gave up and with MM, there should be some decent pictures of Moi while I take the pretty flower festival pictures..... win=win

I did an 18-day solo trip to WDW in Feb 2015 and bought memory maker. It was very worth it in terms of monetary value as I had 18 days worth of ride photos and instead of just taking using my camera for photos of the scenery etc., I had actual photos of myself to show my family and friends when I got home. Granted, not all the PhotoPass photographers are the best photographers but they still do a good job. Remember to ask for Magic Shots!
