Memory Maker for Group of 16 People

We are going with a big group this August. When we all went 6 years ago, one person was able to purchase the Photopass rights and we all added our pics to the one account and shared the pictures.

Now that it has changed to the Memory Maker, can we do the same, or does each family have to purchase their own?

You can link everyone to one persons MDE account and purchase 1 Photopass/Memory Maker for everyone.

You all need to be listed on each others' friends and family list with the option checked: "this person can view and purchase my photos". Only one person has to buy it, but when it is time to download the photos, only the purchaser can do the edits (adding stickers and borders) and perform the free download.

In the parks, anyone in the group can have their magic band scanned to capture the photos or you can still get a plastic Photopass card if you don't have bands. Great way to maximize a MM purchase!

Also, you can all still get the cards and have those scanned and you can add them to your account when you return home. (instead of scanning to the MB)

After doing this with 3 large groups, twice I had them get photopass cards and turn them in, once I linked everyone to my MDE, I would recommend you ask everyone get photopass cards. linking a large group in MDE is such a hassle of steps... So much easier to just input the PP card numbers all at once when you return. I collected them all before boarding our flight - no card turn in, no boarding pass... Everyone turned them in ;-)

Lol! You're quite the planning dictator! Good idea, though. I highly recommend, though, that if anyone does Jedi training or Enchanted Tales with Belle, BBB or Pirates League - those Photopass cards will each have LOTS of photos on them, including all other participants not in your own group. Since a group's MM will already have a lot of pictures (and therefore be rather slow to view on the site) you will benefit from taking any of those event Photopass cards to a Photopass shop (in each park near the entrance and in Disney Springs). There, they can quickly select only those shots of your own group and load them to MM - something you cannot do if you input the Photopass card codes yourself.

That's good advice. Wish I knew that trick! We ended up with over 2200 pictures from my last group! Probably 300 or so were of other people , just from Enchanting Tales with Belle!

I made the mistake of loading those cards to my account. It really does slow things down!
