Memory Maker - Check your dates!

I just called Disney to add a room request to my upcoming reservation. I had her confirm that I had added Memory Maker since I can't see it online. We found that the dates were wrong. I originally had set up my reservation to start a week later and my Memory Maker still had those later dates attached to it. It would not have recorded pictures to my account for the 1st week of our trip!
If you have changed your original dates make sure you check out the memory maker dates!

Who did you call? I purchased memory maker for my upcoming trip but didn't know there are dates attached. We will be off site for 2 nights prior to our contemporary stay and will be in the parks prior to our contemporary stay. Do I need to call and tell them to start the memory maker two days before our onsite reservation?

I bought it directly from the MDE. I have room only at the Contemporary.

but was your cart empty when you bought it or was it the same transaction as when you booked?

I was already book with my room months ago and I went on MDE and purchased Memory maker yesterday.

then you can activate it whenever you want no problem. So when you get pics done before your check in they will still be added. Its only when its bought with a room that it doesnt activate until the check in when its purchased with an empty cart(seperately from the booking) then it will automatically start when your MB or card is scanned

From other posts, it sounds like you got yours figured out.

I booked mine at the same time I booked my package, room & tickets so it was hooked to my check in date. When I moved my check in date from June 6 to June 2 Memory maker didn't get changed. Would not have activated until June 6.

I called general Disney reservations.

I am not sure that you can go back and add all those pictures in or what would have happened when it was scanned by a photographer etc. It just doesn't sound like any stress I needed to add.
