Memory Maker and PhotoPass What is the difference?

My wife is a Disney photography nut and we have used PhotoPass several times on previous trips. I have read about the new Memory Maker and cannot figure out what it is all about. Before we spend $150 on one, we would like to know what we are getting for that money. I tried to read the FAQ's on Disney's website but the answers were as clear as mud. Also, if you do not have a Memory Maker can you still view and pay for individual pictures via the PhotoPass site?


Any help would be appreciated.

Memory maker is a digital entitlement that let's you download all of your PhotoPass photos. Iconic location, meet and greets, dining, ride photos are all included.

PhotoPass is a picture taking service available to all guests. Photos can still be purchased individually after the fact with the exception of ride photos which must be purchased on site.

I believe that individual photo prints and downloads are $14.95?

So, I guess if you have used the photopass service in the past, and downloaded ten pictures, that would be $150? If you purchased memory maker ahead of time, for $150, you would be able to download all of the photos you had taken while there for the same price.

I decided to order it this time because the lady I traveled with last year, and that I'm going with this year, doesn't take good pix at all. There was a couple of photos that I kid you not, she didn't even get me in the photo. Or, her thumb was in the way, camera strap in the way, unfocused.... You get the idea. I had a sense of humor about it, she just stinks at taking pix, but still, she has gorgeous photos I took of her throughout WDW, and I have maybe two halfway decent ones. Let's hope this year is better and I get some nice pix.
